Terms of Service

Last updated: April 18, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using SlowHum (“the Site”), operated by Hilly Shore Labs (“we,” “us,” or “our”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. We may update these terms from time to time; continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

2. The music

All pieces published by SlowHum are produced with the assistance of modern music-generation tools and are labelled as such on YouTube via the platform’s Altered Content disclosure. The pieces are inspired by — and draw on the musical grammar of — healing musical traditions from around the world. They are not recordings of human performers from those traditions, and they are not represented as such.

The pieces are intended for personal, non-commercial use (listening, accompanying rest, study, and similar contexts). For any other use — licensing, synchronization, redistribution, modification, or training of AI systems on our audio — please reach out for written permission first.

3. Use of the Site

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You will not: attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or compromise the Site; scrape the Site for mass redistribution; misrepresent yourself or your affiliation; or use the Site to harm, harass, or mislead others.

4. Intellectual property

Unless otherwise noted, all content on the Site — writing, design, illustration, photography, and audio — is © Hilly Shore Labs. The names, descriptions, and public history of the instruments and musical traditions discussed belong to the cultures and communities that created them and are referenced here in a spirit of respect. If you are a rights-holder or community representative who believes content on the Site is inappropriate, please contact us and we will address it promptly.

5. External links

The Site links to external services (primarily YouTube) and may occasionally reference third-party resources for context. We don’t control those third parties and aren’t responsible for their content, policies, or availability.
